IT RUNS!!!!

Here we install the engine. Get everything hooked up. Then I had to diagnose why it wouldn't run. Find the problem, and fix the problem. Then we start the engine. This is a huge moral boost for the team.

What is the size of the screwdriver bro?
I did this a while ago. Im gussing your asking about my pry bar? Its about 2.5ft long or so.
Thank you
I did this job yesterday at my workplace on a 2016 Remove kick panel, disconnect switches (no need to remove them) at pedal assembly, detach all push clips at pedal assembly, remove metal box and its bracket under column visible at 2:23 (easy to get to, I did this for more room, remove TOP bolt at steering shaft (it will slide down easily by hand. No need to disconnect both ends), make sure you mark it and prevent steering wheel from turning, move shaft out of the way, remove 5 nuts holding pedal assembly. At this point the entire pedal assembly will come out easily and the blower motor will be easily accessible The key to not struggling with this, is to remove that metal box, move the intermediate shaft out of the way, and to have the right tools
A NEW CHARGING HARNESS CALL IT A DAY..... WORST CASE REPLACE FUSE BOX
He’s good I wish someone would work my ac like this no one where I am is even close

We are getting closer Joe!!
Are you a complete moron
Fan-freakin-tastic!
Very good video. I’m hoping the issue isn’t the same with power steering line rubbing a hole in the rear lines…. But, I’m also now expecting that’s what I’ll find. Grateful for this video.
Do you mind posting the link to the part or other parts that would also work for this job?
I did that job a few years ago. Best I can tell you is look up AC Solutions.
What was the point of taking the water pump off if you were just doing a timing belt
I always change water pump when they are either driven by the T-belt, or are under the T-belt. If the pump fails after the T-belt was replace, you're forced to do the job again. This video focus was about the timing belt only.. but that water pump was changed.
where can i find the bolt in between the rear strut rod and the knuckle
You can Google that. I just did and looks like there are plenty of options available. Just make sure you get the bolts and the nuts. 2 per strut.
Awesome brother. Thank you
Thanks for your help
Where were the quick struts purchased?
From O'Reilly auto parts.
A lot easier to leave the support in place, and just unbolt the radiator, and push the radiator towards the engine.
A great job of putting this together Nate!! Well Done!!
I removed my actuator but the white pin didn’t come out. How do you remove it or do you remove it from the new actuator
I'll be honest here. I did this a while ago. I can't remember. I'd hate to give you the wrong advice and you ruin the new actuator or the door.
My God!! Thank you!! I’ve spent 3 hours today trying to get that bolt in!!!😢😢😢 This is a life saver !!! 😊😊😅😅😅
Are you by chance anywhere near Indiana?
Sorry I'm located in Tacoma, WA
I have this car and it’s terrible I’ve changed so much on it and it’s the most difficult car I’ve ever worked on now I have a short that turned my car completely off. I figured I have a short because I tried charging the battery and the jumper cables started to smoke and melt
Just delete this video 👎👎
Hello have you ever used the Aisin timing belt kits if so whats been your experience with them
I only use Gates kits. Which at Oreillys are Import Direct.
Help me a lot. Thank you!
They have used ones on ebay I bought a cheap replacement The rubber intake hose didn’t fit Once I finally got it on the special clamp wouldn’t fit So I put the old one back on Til I find a good used one
Sadly my car was fine yesterday and just walked out to this problem this morning. Now it looks like I will have to take it to my mechanics house and leave it for the week. So he can get to it when he can. 😢🙏🏻

Great job. Forgive me if I ask this question but would it be possible to mix some 5 minute epoxy and apply it to the indent of the tubing where the hole is and wait for it to set up a little and then wrap it with hockey tape or something to hold the epoxy in place as it sets? Or even bondo? Just a thought.
It's possible yes.. but for how long? Freon will leak though aged AC hoses. Also. What about the heat/cold cycles? Soo yes it's possible. But for me I wouldn't trust it.
Thanks buddy, you just saved me a lot of time. Thanks 👍
Thanks for the wonderful tip. I don’t know too much about Subarus, but this is a great help for me. I’ve got the same leak on my customers car.
Thanks for sharing this video, very informative, great camera work & lighting. I have the exact same car & it's time for timing belt replacement. After watching this video, I feel 100% confident and I know exactly what I have to do. I will call my mechanic to schedule an appointment 👍😬
Why is this engine considered a SOHC engine when each head has its own cam?
That is the question for the ages my friend.
Thanks , informative video, should we transmission on neutral or it doesn't matter ? The pullies moving easily ? Thanks.
If its and Automatic transmission nothing to worry about. If it's an Manual transmission the yes put out of great, in neutral, and parking brake set on. Of course engine off too.
@@Steve4x4 thanks my car 2016 Automatic and the transmission is called powershift auto transmission , when I buy transmission oil the ford dealer gives me the manual transmission oil as they say your car transmission is actually the manual but is automatically operated by powershift . So now changing the serpentine belt I will put car on neutral gear then pull the hand brake then turn off the engine, but don't know the car will start in neutral gear Or not let see, anyhow thanks for clearing that I need it on neutral as its manaul gearbox, appreciated.
is this the same V6 that was used in the explorer sport trac ?
I dont know. If the sport Trac came with the 4.0 OHV or the 4.0 OHC engine. I would suspect it was the OHC engine though
Just an FYI do not try releasing the tension on the rear tensioner with just a wrench. I snapped that little 12pt nut looking thing off mine. You def need a way to compress that spring or to help move the tensioner
it works, thank you
Hi Steve, I haven't found a video on how to lubricate those tracks. Have you had the chance to do it?
No I haven't. But you might want to rethink that. Any grease/lube input down there will attract all floor debris. Sand, hair, pens, food, everything and anything will get stuck. So I don't recommend any more lube than what's on em from the factory. If this is what you really really need. Ur best bet is to contact Toyota directly.
Is hard for mantenance ,also to replace front shocks and water pump, uffff ..pain on my neck..
hi Sir can you give me the number of the belt ?
sorry I cannot tell you the part number. Since this was done 4 years ago. I can tell you that I got the belt from Orielly's auto parts.
Those prices seem optimistic. Did you guys get through it? How did the costs come out?
Getting the car we beat the $2,000 price The roll cage: I did fine a prebuilt kit for $750. but it was a very generic kit. So as a team we bought a much better kit that will allow more room for us inside the car for $2k. Way more than what we wanted to spend. However It's a WAY better kit. The other items we haven't got into yet. The team meets once a month. But we have the car. Now with a running engine. And a roll cage. Next we are looking for a racing seat. Now most of the prices in the video (except for the cage) was listed off the Lemons store website, and didn't include tax. So those were real prices.
I was Having trouble with the smaller seat in my 2017 sienna, the right side would not release but the left side was releasing. I was able to see that little blue piece by lifting the left side and noticed the metal piece next to the blue end had fallen out of its mount. Thank you so much for your video. It made a hero to my wife.
You are clutch for this video helping people years after the video !!
I experimented with the old belt by warming it up in boiling water to see if would stretch only to find the smooth surface of the belt started to bubble up in places. So Don’t Do It ! 😮
So right now I can’t open the door from the inside so I have to open the window and open from the outside, I’ve noticed the key fob remote doesn’t unlock, manually from outside it unlocks, where should I start? Please help 😢
Go see your automotive professional. Diagnostics need to be done. It does sound like you have two issues happening. The lock actuator and the inside lock rod system is faulty.
Can this cause a leak and truck turning off as well with a loud noise when cranking ?
Noise when cranking or possible. But the word "noise" is to general. It would be a specific kind of noise. As for a leak. Of a timing chain is moving around so much that it's has cause a visible leak. You have more problems than a timing chain.
is there a torque spec sheet for all the different bolts?
Hi, yes there is. I couldn't tell you what it is though. I know the tensioner pulley bolt is like 19ftlbs. And the crank pulley bolts is like 230ftlbs. I been doing t-belt so much and so long I personally no longer concern myself with torque values. I just know by experience what is the right tightness to be right. Which is why I never talk torque values in my videos. However I you need the specific values I'm sure u can Google it.
Nice video..
Would you know how to repair it? I just started getting into car maintenance for my 2004 acura tsx. I have had a solid battery light always show when the engine is running. If I unplug the wire that connects to the alternator, the light turns off, but if I put it back in, it presumes to turn back on. I've had this battery light problem for quite a few months now.
You need to test the voltage at the battery with engine running vs engine off. Engine running you should see 13.5 - 14.5v Off should see 11.7- 12.5v If u don't see those number. Then changing diagnostics needs to be done. If you don't have the ability to test voltage. Then you should take the car to an automotive technician.
